There has been a lot of talk since Joe Giudice was released from ICE custody and returned back to his native country of Italy to await the results of his deportation appeal — mainly around the state of his marriage to Teresa Giudice. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star admitted things are pretty up in the air between the two until they are reunited.
“When I go see him in Italy, we’ll figure that out,” Teresa, 47, said when asked where their relationship stands at the New Jersey Ultimate Women’s Expo on Sunday, November 3. Teresa previously announced she and her daughters will be traveling to Italy to visit Joe, 47, in a few weeks during a tell-all interview with Andy Cohen, “Joe and Teresa: Unlocked,” which aired on Sunday, October 27.
During their Bravo special, Teresa and Joe both opened up about the fate of their marriage. “I’ve been on my own now for three years and seven months and I don’t, you know, we’re both two different people now and you know, and I don’t know. I’m not the same Teresa I was and I know he’s not the same Joe. Like I don’t. No matter what, I always want to respect each other,” she revealed. “And I do love him as a person. I do. I still care about him. I love him. I don’t know how I’m going to feel when I see him. That’s why I’m so nervous when I see him. I love him. He’s my husband. We have children together.”
As for Joe, he said that he just wants what’s best for Teresa. “Listen, as long as she’s happy, that’s all that really matters,” he explained. “I’m not going to tell her what to do. If she doesn’t feel like she wants to be with me anymore, that’s the thing to do.”
Both stars admitted that although their feelings might have faded, they still respect their longstanding bond. “She’s my wife and I’ve been with her for a long time. Known her since she was a kid. Baby, actually. So of course, I’ll always love her,” Joe shared. “No matter what happens, I’ll always love her.”
The love story of Juicy Joe and Tre is definitely still up in the air, but we can’t wait for them to finally reconnect — maybe sparks will fly!
