Bristol Palin is heartbroken that she’s not in Alaska helping her friends and family members, following the massive 7.0 magnitude earthquake that rocked her former home and beloved state. “Just sick I’m not in Alaska to help my family and friends with the aftermath of the massive earthquake they had this morning, sending all the prayers to everyone affected,” Bristol wrote on Nov. 30.

The reality star’s mom, Sarah Palin, 54, also shared some very unfortunate news while updating her followers on social media.

The Palin family compound is only about 44 miles northeast of Anchorage and it was damaged during the earthquake. Sarah still managed to look at the bright side.

“Our family is intact —house is not… I imagine that’s the case for many, many others,” the former Alaska Governor wrote via Twitter.

“So thankful to be safe; praying for our state following the earthquake,” the former vice presidential candidate added.

Sarah later shared a video of her parent’s home in Wasilla, showing their belongings scattered all over the floor. “Helping my folks begin some cleanup,” she wrote.

Bristol’s younger sister Willow was also in shock after the frightening experience. “Our house is a mess but our family is safe, very shook up! That was the scariest couple minutes of my life,” she revealed.
