It’s a battle of the exes! Bella Thorne and Tana Mongeau may only be on tentatively good terms right now, but the former Disney Channel star went to bat for her ex when she called out Jake Paul for being caught with another woman while his wife was dealing with a family emergency. On Monday, August 19, Bella took to social media to slam the controversial YouTuber after another vloggger, Keemstar (a.k.a. Daniel Keem), took pictures of Jake with his ex Erika Costell. Fans have accused Jake and Tana of faking their relationship, but Bella was going to back up her pal no matter what.

The outrage started when Keemstar, 37, posted pictures of Jake, 22, and Erika, 26, sharing a meal. “Breaking: @erikacostell & @jakepaul spotted together. #DramaAlert,” he tweeted on Sunday, August 18. A fan of Tana, 21, chimed in, “Jake has used all the clout he can from @tanamongeau, so now he’s over it and moving on to newer scandals that will bring him clout.” They also looped in the star’s ex, writing, “@bellathorne, help us get hot girl summer Tana back!!” That’s when Bella, 21, clapped back, “While her family is going [through] some s–t … Not a good look, Jake. 🤕”

Not everyone was on board for the call out. Some even pointed out the fact that Bella being Tana’s ex makes the whole thing pretty hypocritical. “[You’re] literally her ex, and y’all hang out all the time,” responded one fan. Others took a different stance. “You enjoy this, don’t you?” asked another fan. Recently, the two 21 year olds had their own drama when Bella called out her ex because she “broke girl code.” Though the stars seem to be (mostly) past that now, fans can’t help but wonder how that feud fits into this new scandal. And, TBH, plenty of them are just writing the whole thing off as fake AF: “The fact that any of y’all think this wasn’t planned ahead of time for attention is exactly why these [people] stay rich.”
