Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola Claps Back at Follower Who Says She ‘Looks Totally Different Now’
Her life may have gone through a major transformation, but that doesn’t mean that Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola looks like a different person. When one of the former Jersey Shore star’s fans came into her Instagram comments to tell her that they could hardly recognize her, she wasn’t about it. On Tuesday, October 22, she showed off that sweet smile we know and love in a selfie video filmed at the beach — and then took the opportunity to remind her fans that she’s still not to be messed with.
“This rainy weather has me like …” Sammi, 32, captioned the clip on Instagram. Though plenty of her fans let her know just how gorgeous she looked in the footage, one disagreed. “She looks totally different now,” they wrote in the comments of the post. “Doesn’t even look the same. SMH.” The MTV alum wasn’t impressed by the unsolicited opinion. “Guess old age will change ya,” she fired back with a shrugging emoji.
Though Sammi was the first to respond, some of her other followers also rushed to her defense. “SMH, you need glasses!” one wrote back. “She looks the same! Beautiful.” Another responded, “You must be thinking of someone else. She looks exactly the same as she did on the show, only more mature.”
We bet that the star’s fiancé, Christian Biscardi, would agree with those assessments! The duo have been packing on the PDA lately as their wedding looms closer. “I think ‘power couple’ is an understatement,” Christian captioned a photo of him and his soon-to-be wife in September. “Mr. & Mrs. coming soon.” The month before, he shared a photo of them standing under the pergola at a friend’s wedding, writing, “You’re almost stuck with me for good!”
The couple’s relationship has been going strong for a while now — and it’s actually the reason that Sammi decided not to return to the show when it landed a spin-off series. ” I have chosen not to join the show this season because I am at a completely different place in my life right now, focussing on my business and relationship,” she told fans in March 2018. “I am currently extremely happy in every aspect of my life. … I’ve decided to focus on me, my future and what truly makes me happy.”
