Samira Wiley Says “Ask a Writer” If Poussey Will Ever Return to ‘OITNB’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Perhaps we have not seen the last of Poussey Washington on Orange Is the New Black! Actress Samira Wiley, who was shockingly killed off in Season 4 of the hit Netflix series, exclusively told In Touch whether or not we could expect to EVER see her again on the hit Netflix series. Remember, we DID see Poussey in a Season 5 flashback in the library introducing herself to Taystee, who is played by actress Danielle Brooks.

“Ask a writer!” The Handmaid’s Tale star joked, adding she still “absolutely” in contact with her former co-stars. Samira has a totally different role on her latest series, but assured fans she “loves them both.”

“They’re very different. I love them both for so many different reasons. I can’t really compare the two because they stand alone,” she continued. We can totally get that!

Back in June, Samira who is now loving married life with OITNB writer Lauren Morelli, shared this throwback mirror selfie of herself wearing her prison garb — prompting many fans to speculate if the beloved character will make more appearances in the upcoming seasons. “Season 1,” she captioned the image alongside a blue heart emoji.

In Touch spoke with Samira as she teamed up with American Express for their #PayItPlanIt campaign. When asked why this meant so much to hear, Samira explained, “When they expressed to me that they wanted me to be a part of this, I thought immediately back to when I was getting married and how useful this #PayItPlanIt feature would have been. There are expenses that add up like you wouldn’t believe, and to be able to have the choice to plan when I was going to pay for some things, but also pay it immediately with the app.”
