Baby trouble! During the finale of Teen Mom OG, Ryan Edwards told his wife, Mackenzie Standifer, that he wants to separate while she’s pregnant. He lashed out after the pair had just broken the baby news to Ryan’s parents and his nine-year-old son Bentley — who he shares with ex Maci Bookout — and said, “I think we just need to separate for nine months.”

Ryan’s distaste for becoming a dad again started earlier in the day when he acted completely emotionless as the pair heard the baby’s heartbeat during Mackenzie’s doctor’s appointment. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Ryan seemed incredibly disinterested in his future child, either. In a previous episode, he told Mackenize, “Yeah, call me when [the baby’s] about three.”

While Mackenzie seemed more than annoyed with Ryan during the finale, Maci expressed serious concern for his irresponsible behavior. She told her mom that she didn’t believe Ryan was clean and sober which is why he hadn’t taken or passed a drug test yet. She alluded to the fact that she has inside sources who know what’s going on behind closed doors, saying, “My people know people.”

And Ryan’s battle with addiction has been a constant storyline on the show. Most recently, he was arrested for violating his probation on drug-related charges. But, that hasn’t stopped Mackenzie from sticking by her man. Hours after the booking, she told Radar Online that everything was “fine.” She said, “Possession of heroin was the original charge from April before he went to rehab. Part of his case was he had to be booked. He took a drug test yesterday [March 27] and he passed.”

Mackenzie and Ryan announced their pregnancy news on the show after Ryan had told her he was ready to expand their family. He said, “I’m ready when you’re ready. I think now is as good a time as ever.” Mackenzie is already a mom to four-year-old Hudson who she shares with her ex, Zachary Stephens.
