The Navy is not having it! Rihanna fans are completely protective of their fave and they quickly came to her defense after her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown took to the comments of her recent Instagram post and left a thirsty AF comment.

RiRi, 31, posted a photo of herself modeling a super sexy white bustier with matching bottoms from her Savage x Fenty lingerie line. The “Umbrella” singer’s ex couldn’t help himself, and he left a comment: “BOUGHT [sic] TO BREAK DA INTERNET! KEEP RISING QUEEN.” Even though the 29-year-old seemingly meant no harm and actually praised his ex, her fans did not forget about what Chris did to her and they did not think it was appropriate for Chris to leave a flirty comment on her page.

“@chrisbrownofficial She doesn’t want you back, stop trying LOL,” one fan commented, and another wrote, “@chrisbrownofficial leave her the f–k alone?” Some fans felt that it was time for everyone to forgive Chris for what happened between him and Rihanna, and another fan summed it up:  “I JUST GOT SO MAD like people still stan Chris Brown and Rihanna together like he didn’t almost KILLED [sic] her back in the days. I REALLY can’t tell if y’all are dumb or just too f–kn crazy.”

Fans will never forget February 8, 2009, the night that Chris assaulted Rihanna. The two R&B stars were dating at the time, and they were in a car on the way to a pre-Grammys party at Clive Davis‘ house when the couple got into a fight after Rihanna found text messages on Chris’ phone between him and a woman he had slept with. After their altercation, Rihanna was hospitalized and photos of her bruises and injuries shocked fans.

Chris reflected on that fateful night in his 2017 documentary, Chris Brown: Welcome to My Life. “And a lot of the time I look back at that picture and I was like, ‘Yo bro that is not me bro, that is not me!’” he said. “I hate it to this day, you know what I am saying; it is going to haunt me forever.”
