More bad news for Joe Giudice. The former Real Housewives of New Jersey star’s request for bond was denied, Radar Online reported on September 20. Teresa Giudice‘s husband pleaded with an immigration judge to be released from ICE custody as he awaits a verdict in his deportation appeal, but after deliberating for nearly two weeks, the request was denied and Joe is to remain in ICE custody until his pending deportation.

An immigration official told Radar that the judge “rendered a decision of no bond pertaining to Giuseppe Giudice’s case.” Joe, 47, does have the option of appealing the judge’s decision within 30 days, but sources told Radar that it’s unlikely Joe will choose to do so.

As In Touch previously reported, Joe was released from prison in March after serving a 41-month prison sentence for mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud charges. But since Joe is not a United States citizen, he was facing the possibility of deportation back to his native country of Italy after he served his time.

In October 2018, a judge found Joe eligible for deportation after his sentence. “Based upon the law, I find you deportable and ineligible for any kind of relief,” Judge John Ellington announced at the court hearing in Pennsylvania. “Mr. Giudice, no matter how this turns out, I wish you the best. I decided this case as a matter of law.”

After Joe was released from the Allenwood Low Federal Correctional Institution in Allenwood, Pennsylvania, he was immediately taken into ICE custody.

Since then, Joe’s legal team filed an appeal of the judge’s decision and his team argued that Joe should be released from ICE custody until a verdict in the appeal was reached. Back in April, his 47-year-old wife, Teresa, wrote a letter to the judge on her husband’s behalf, pleading with the courts to allow Joe to remain in the United States so that he could continue to help raise their four daughters: Gia, 18, Gabriella, 15, Milania, 14 and Audriana, 10.

“I cannot bear the thought of my daughters losing their father, I am fearful that it will break them and that I alone will not be able to fix them,” the Bravolebrity wrote. “Judge Ellington, this is my greatest fear and it keeps me up at night. The fear that if I lose my husband, I will also lose my children, as they will never ever be the same.”
