Red Hot Chili Peppers Lead Singer Anthony Kiedis Hospitalized
The Red Hot Chili Peppers were forced to cancel a show Saturday night after frontman Anthony Kiedis was rushed to the hospital.
A rep said Anthony, 53, was taken in an ambulance from KROQ’s Weenie Roast at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheater and hospitalized because he was suffering from severe stomach pain.
“We are devastated about it,” band member Flea told the disappointed crowd. “We’re really sad. We love you so much. We love to rock…Unfortunately, there’s a medical thing that happened and he needed to deal with it.”

NO one’s more disappointed than us that we couldn’t perform tonight. Sending love and a speedy recovery to my brother Anthony.
