Already?! Shay Mitchell Is Getting Mom-Shamed at 6 Months Pregnant and She Won’t Stand For It
Seems like it was just last week that Shay Mitchell announced she is 6 months pregnant … Oh wait, it was, and she is already being mommy trolled. *Eyeroll.* Really, guys?
The Pretty Little Liars star, 32, announced her pregnancy via YouTube just last Friday, June 28, and explained why she waited so long to share the news.“When you’re in the public eye, there’s some things you want to keep a secret until you feel ready … this for me, has been the hardest,” she said. This is going to be really fun and awesome when I’m not trying to hide it anymore.”
The star later posted to Instagram showing off her baby bump for the first time. “Does this mean I’m allowed to drive in the car pool lane at all times now?” the actress joked.
Shay was weary to share her pregnancy news with fans in fear of the social trolls, which makes sense, since not even a week later she started receiving backlash.
One fan was extremely perplexed how someone could get pregnant out of wedlock, writing, “How?? Is she married?” *Gasp!*
“Not married, can you believe it still happened?!!” clapped Shay. Looks like someone needs to go back to sex ed.
This is Shay’s first child with boyfriend Matte Babel. The candid starlet opened up to her follows after experiencing a miscarriage back in 2018, and posted a photo of a sonogram with a broken heart emoji. After overcoming a rough 2018, Shay is happy to be prego once again.
Shay is super pumped to finally be able to share cute baby bumps all over IG. “I’m going to be so happy when this comes out. I can be pregnant, like not suck my stomach in,” she said in her YouTube video.
