New year, new routine! The OutDaughtered kiddos are back in school, and after temporarily moving out of their old home due to health issues, their mornings now look a little different. While promoting the newest screen-free coding toy from Learning Resources, Coding Critters, Danielle Busby divulged to In Touch exclusively what this all means for their busy brood.
“The girls just started and they are loving it!” the 35-year-old said about Riley, Hazel, Parker, Ava, Olivia, 4, and Blayke, 8. “I actually wrote a blog post about keeping the learning going all summer long and preparing them for back-to-school. On the first day, we all got up bright and early because it was a new morning routine. We dropped Blayke off at school to her third-grade classroom and then brought the quints to their preschool.” She added, however, that Riley already started Kindergarten. “This year is a big change for us, as Riley started the Kindergarten class at the quints school and she will go every day, just like Blayke.” Go, girl!
Unfortunately, not everyone was thrilled Danielle and her husband, Adam Busby, chose to have one of the sisters skip a grade. The reality TV dad recently received backlash for their decision on Instagram. “First day of kindergarten in the books and she CRUSHED it! So incredibly proud of this little kid. When she wants something, there is nothing going to stand in her way and she is right at home forging her own path. My MIGHTY pint-sized princess is going to be something great one day,” he said.
After a plethora of negative comments ensued, one fan defended, “It annoys me people negatively question the decision to put her in kinder. It’s obvious she needs the challenge and plus y’all know her better than us fans LOL.” Adam, 37, then replied, “💯Typical social media for you. Haha! So many people that don’t actually know my child think that they know better than us, the parents … there have been 6 parents in world history that know what it’s like to raise all-girl quints with all of the complexities that we deal with on the daily. We are making the best decisions that we can; knowing what we know.”
Amen! The famous fam revealed back in December why they were forced to relocate. “It’s been a crazy, crazy, crazy couple weeks,” Danielle began the YouTube video. Adam chimed in that they’re currently in a “temporary house” due to “issues with our old house” — a.k.a. mold. He added, “We couldn’t really get around it. The only way the issues have been… could have been fixed in the house was by us not being there. So we couldn’t stay.”
