Nearly two years after his ex-girlfriend Bobbi Kristina's death, Nick Gordon landed himself in hot water.
The 28-year-old was arrested for domestic violence and kidnapping stemming from an altercation between him and his current girlfriend. He was taken into custody on Saturday, June 10 by the Seminole County Sheriff's Department in Sanford, FL and has yet to post his bond.
Nick was charged with domestic violence battery and kidnapping/false imprisonment of an adult against his girlfriend who was identified as Laura Leil, People reported. The Seminole County Sheriff's Office confirmed that Nick's bond is currently set at $15,500 and he was ordered by a judge to not contact Laura. If he posts bond, he will have to wear a GPS ankle monitor and he'll be expected to appear in court next month.
Laura filed a police report against Nick on Saturday after she claimed that he beat her and then refused to allow her to leave their home. She told local police that Nick was upset after they went out to a sports bar on Friday night because he thought that Laura was trying to hook up with one of his friends, according to TMZ.
The couple fought until the early morning hours and Laura tried to leave, but that's when Nick started "punching and hitting her and refused to let her leave," a source revealed to TMZ. She only escaped after she woke up Nick's mother, who also lives in the home.
This is just another slew of legal issues for Nick. In September, Nick was found legally responsible for the death of his ex-girlfriend Bobbi Kristina — the only daughter of the late icon Whitney Houston. Her father, R&B singer Bobby Brown, filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Nick and a judge ruled in his favor, ordering Nick to pay more than $36 million in damages.
