OK, this is pretty weird. Apparently, people are professing their love to Chris Watts, who is literally a convicted killer, in letters sent to him in prison, WABC-TV reported on Dec. 19. Say what?!

The outlet reported that Chris is receiving love letters from women and that prosecutors have released dozens of letters sent to the 33-year-old murderer. They’ve written to Chris professing things like, “In my heart, you are a great guy” and “I’m hoping to brighten your days.” That’s…pretty strange, right?

Chris pleaded guilty to killing his pregnant wife Shan’ann and two daughters on Nov. 19. At his sentencing, he was told he will serve three consecutive life sentences with no chance of parole. Basically, he’s in jail for life. But apparently, he’ll be getting sexy letters while he’s there because people are weird AF.

Let’s not forget that the judge who sentenced Chris, Marcelo Kopcow, told him “this is perhaps the most inhumane and vicious crime that I have handled out of the thousands of cases that I have seen,” after Chris confessed that he strangled his wife and smothered his two daughters — Bella, 4, and Celeste, 3. Bella and Celeste’s bodies were dumped in a tank of oil and left there for three days, and Shan’ann’s body was discovered in a shallow grave near the tanks on a site owned by Chris’ former employer. This isn’t some minor crime he’s in prison for and a situation where these women could ~reform~ him.

Chris had an alleged mistress in addition to his wife — one who reportedly Googled what to wear when walking down the aisle not long before Chris killed his family. Clearly, something about this guy appeals to people, even if we’ll never understand how a cheater and a murderer could get this massive amount of attention. Guess the letters he’s getting will just have to tide Chris over because the guy’s behind bars forever (and good riddance!).
