Now We Ain’t Sayin’ She’s a Gold Digger, but Fans Think Matt Roloff’s Girlfriend Just Wants His Money
She takes his money when he's in need? It's been more than a year since Matt Roloff and his former farm manager, Caryn Chandler, made their relationship official, but fans still think there's something suspicious about his leading lady.
The Roloff family patriarch took to Facebook on Sunday, Feb. 4 to share a sweet photo with Caryn, but all people seemed to be talking about were her intentions. "She is only a gold digger. You need to wake [up], Matt. Can't stomach Caryn." Ouch. Another agreed, "She is a money grabber! Tramp not worth being with." A third chimed in, "Same old same old. Older man and younger woman. It's always for the money. When will these men wise up? And why do all the women stick up for a man that left his wife for another woman? No haters please. We women have to stick together." It should be noted that Matt is 56 and Caryn is 49, so he's hardly rocking the cradle.
Back in 2015, Matt and Amy Roloff shocked fans of Little People, Big World when they announced that the mother-of-four filed for divorce from her husband after nearly three decades of wedded bliss. The two — who share four kids together, twins Jeremy and Zach, 27, Molly, 24, and Jacob, 21 — announced their divorce with a statement promising to remain cordial and make it work, for not only their children but also their business (a promise they've made good on, considering they still run their family's pumpkin farm together)!
"After 27 years of marriage, it is with great sadness that we have come to the difficult decision to file for divorce. We are proud of what we have accomplished together, including raising our four wonderful children, who have grouwn to become remarkable adults and building our strong and ongoing successful businesses," the statement read at the time.
"Our kids and our ever-growing family, and the love and support we have for them, will be our priority. We will continue to work together side-by-side in the daily responsibilities for our many current ventures. We would like to thank our family, friends, and all our fans for their continued support and understanding during this difficult time."
Despite the criticism, Matt insists his relationship with Caryn is the real deal. "We enjoy the same sort of social settings, and company and friendship," he gushed. "Amy and I didn't have that. It's different. This is a really neat person that's full of life and I think she's cute." Aw!
Little People, Big World returns this spring.
