Lori Loughlin Spotted Out and About as Felicity Huffman’s Prison Date Looms

She doesn’t look that concerned! Lori Loughlin was spotted out and about just weeks before a fellow celebrity involved in the college admissions scandal, Felicity Huffman, is set to start her jail sentence. Loughlin, 55, was seen arriving at the Bel Air Country club in Los Angeles, California on October 1, and was all smiles as she stepped out of her car.

Loughlin and Huffman, 56, were both indicted on March 12 on charges related to a nationwide college admissions cheating scam. Specifically, Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, allegedly “agreed to pay bribes totaling 500,000 in exchange for having their two daughters designated as recruits to the USC crew team — despite the fact that they did not participate in crew.” The bribes were meant to help the young women be admitted to USC.

In April, Huffman pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud for paying $15,000 to improve her daughter Sophia’s SAT scores. The actress was sentenced to 14 days in prison on September 13. Huffman made a statement that stated she “accepts the court’s decision today without reservation” and confessed “I broke the law. I have admitted that and I have pleaded guilty to this crime. There are no excuses or justifications for my actions. Period.”

Huffman will head to the Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, California, for her sentence beginning on October 25. And it sounds like a cushy stay doesn’t await her. A former inmate spoke exclusively with In Touch and compared the prison to “college dorm living.” Amy Povah, who served nine years at the same place before she founded the Can-Do Foundation, said, “Just imagine four people crammed into a teeny-weeny broom closet that barely fits four beds. Then, there’s a toilet and sink all in that little bitty room … Everybody has a job to do. Nobody gets to escape it, not even Felicity!”

If Loughlin is also found guilty of crimes related to the scam, will she end up in the same facility? She might be put to work just like Huffman, and likely won’t be smiling then! Check out the photos of the Fuller House actress in good spirits not long before Huffman’s prison sentence begins in the gallery below.
