Lady Gaga’s Next Movie Role is an Epic True Crime Based on Gucci’s Grandson’s Murder

After gracing the big screen as Ally in A Star is Born, Lady Gaga is back to star in another film! This time around, we’ll see the 33-year-old portray Patrizia Reggiani, who was married to Maurizio Gucci — grandson of Guccio Gucci, who founded the fashion brand.

The film will be based on the book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed by Sara Gay Forden. If you love Gaga and true crime, this movie is for you.

Patrizia was married to Maurizio from 1973 to 1991. The former couple split after he left her to be with someone else. In 1998, Patrizia went on trial after being accused of her ex-husband’s murder in 1995. As a result, she was convicted of the crime and served 18 years in jail until she was finally released in 2016. That being said, we will be seeing Lady Gaga in a whole new light.

If Gaga’s performance will be anything like A Star Is Born, viewers will most likely be blown away again. Thanks to the fan-favorite movie, the pop star became an Oscar-nominated actress. She received a Best Actress nod, which helped her gain respect in the movie industry. However, that wasn’t her first Oscar nomination. She previously gained a nod for her musical talent. In 2016, “Til It Happens To You” from the film The Hunting Ground received a Best Original Song nod.

Part of what made Gaga’s performance so great was her chemistry with Bradley Cooper, who played her on-screen boyfriend. Like any good friend, the “Bad Romance” crooner was rooting for Bradley to get recognized for all his hard work in the film.
