Down in Southern California, things aren’t looking so good. Multiple wild fires are raging, destroying homes and threatening even more. Several of those homes belong to members of the Kardashian clan, and the family is already facing huge losses. According to reports, Caitlyn Jenner‘s home in Malibu has already burned down. Now, it seems that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s home in Hidden Hills is in danger of getting eaten up by flames, too.

According to a source close to Kanye, the couple is “terrified of losing their home, especially Kim.” They tell In Touch, “She wanted security to be there in case looters came to rob them during the fire but they had to evacuate too. She feels vulnerable and exposed and had some expensive jewelry there in the safe that she hopes doesn’t get torched. She just can’t deal right now but Kanye’s keeping her together.”

Another thing Kanye’s helping her do is reconnect with her former step-father during this trying time. And if there’s anything good that can come out of these horrible fires, it would be a sweet reunion. “Kanye forced Kim, literally forced her, to call Caitlyn,” the source tells In Touch. “Cait didn’t answer but Kim left a message urging her to call back.”

It seems that right now the controversial rapper knows what’s most important, and that’s family. “Kanye was devastated that her crib burned down,” the source continued. “[He] told Kim in times like this we all come together. ‘Ye feels guilty because he hasn’t spoken to Cait in a few weeks and to hear that she’s without a home breaks his heart. He’s manning up and really taking control and being the rock of the family.”

The relationship definitely needs work, but we’re glad to see Kanye taking on the challenge. As for the houses, well, there’s not much that the stars can do — but it looks like things are turning up at least for Kim and her husband. “I heard the flames have hit our property at our home in Hidden Hills but now are more contained and have stopped at the moment,” she tweeted. “It doesn’t seem like it is getting worse right now, I just pray the winds are in our favor. God is good. I’m just praying everyone is safe.”

Caitlyn has yet to make a statement, but another of her former step-daughters, Khloé Kardashian, has spoken out on social media. She shared a similar message as her sister, sharing her fear with her followers. “I can’t believe this is happening!!! May God bless us all! I can not believe what is happening!” she tweeted. “Completely devastating for anyone who loses tangible memories and the security of their homes. Thank you to EVERYONE who has a hand in helping. I’ve never seen anything like this.”

Littlest sis Kylie Jenner has also posted on Instagram about the fires. Though she’s safe in Baltimore, MD, her home isn’t. “Fire is so close to my house,” she wrote on her story. “Hoping everyone is staying safe. I’m hoping for the best.” She also shared a note for firefighters, writing, “Thank you to all the brave firemen fighting this fire back home.” Kim shared a similar message.

“Fire Fighters, I love you and thank you for doing all that you can to keep us safe!” she tweeted. We’re just hoping that this family stays safe, stays together, and shows each other all the love and support that they deserve. During an emergency, nothing is more important than family, no matter what else has been going on.
