Calm down, Swifties! Kim Kardashian is pushing back her fragrance launch, which was originally supposed to be April 26, a.k.a. the same date that Taylor Swift is expected to drop new music. But it’s not that the 38-year-old was not in the mood for some friendly competition. Instead, the reality tv star is delaying her fragrance collaboration with her sister, Kylie Jenner, due to some technical difficulties.

“We are so excited to launch our fragrance collaboration that we’ve been working on for such a long time. Sadly, we found out today from the manufacturer that a few of our bottles did not pass durability tests while on the assembly line and we have paused production while the team explores the issue further,” Kim expressed via Twitter on Wednesday, April 17.

“Together, we have made the difficult decision to delay the launch as we would never release a product that did not meet the strictest of quality guidelines,” the statement continued. “We’ll be sure to let you know as soon as we have a new launch date! Thank you for your understanding and support always. Love, Kim & Kylie.”

Immediately, T-Swift fans responded to the mom-of-three, by letting her know that she would have never been able to compete with the 29-year-old, anyway. “Why not just say #aprilTwentySix is the day Taylor drops her single and you realized that your perfume will flop, one hater  echoed, while another added, “Stream #TaylorSwiftApril26.” A third chimed in, “good cause we’re busy that day anyways!” Rough.

The feud between the fandoms began on Monday, April 15, after the KUWTK Star took to Instagram to announce that her new perfume with her 21-year-old sis was coming out on April 26. “KKW FRAGRANCE X KYLIE launching 4/26 at NOON on kkwfragrance.com. Three colorful bottles in nude, pink and red. These lip-shaped fragrances offer notes of red lotus blossoms, liquid amber and peony. $40,” she captioned her selfie.

Shortly after, fans attacked her for unwittingly stealing the blonde beauty’s spotlight. “The same day like Taylor Swift 4.26? It’s not a coincidence? Isn’t Isn’t Isn’t,” one fan wrote. Another screamed,“ Girl, we don’t care. Stream TS7 on 4.26,” while a third added: “Yo, Kim, I really don’t care about your fragrance, I’ma let you finish, but first go buy and stream Taylor’s new single at 4.26!” Again, rough.

The drama between the two A-listers began back in 2009, when Kim’s hubby, Kanye West jumped on stage to interrupt Taylor’s acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards. “Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you and I’mma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time. One of the best videos of all time,” he said on stage. However … it did not end there! In 2016, Kanye released his song  “Famous,” where he included the lyrics: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bitch famous.” Kanye claims that he obtained the “Shake It Off” singer’s approval before the song release but Taylor’s camp, not so much. The plot thickened even more when Kim indirectly called Tay a “snake” for “lying.”

The ongoing feud will probably never come to an end but, the brunette beauty did confess in January that she feels everyone “has moved on” from the situation on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. However, that was before she tried to take April 26 away from Taylor so … who knows!
