Lucky number five! Kanye West revealed what he has learned after five years of marriage to Kim Kardashian in a new interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music’s Beats 1 on Thursday, October 24. The 41-year-old described their union as not only “a successful celebrity marriage,” but “a successful interracial marriage.”

The proud dad of a brood of four — North, 6, Saint, 3, Chicago, 21 months and Psalm, 5 months — said he has grown a lot from having a partner in Kim, 39. “I have five years of marriage under my belt. What I learned from five years of marriage is, it is the greatest bond, it is a God bond to be able to have someone that you can call on, someone you can call out, someone that can call on you and call you out,” he explained. “Equally yoked. Someone to complain to and someone to grow with as we grow and raise our children.”

It seems like Kim agrees and loves raising a family of four. She previously stated that their most recent addition made the West family whole. “My two older kids would fight a little bit and now, since the baby’s here, everyone gets along, everyone loves each other,” the mogul told Entertainment Tonight back in September. “I’m rolling with it. It just really is zen. It feels really equal and calm and great.”

Typically, with more kids comes more trouble, but that hasn’t been the case for this famous family. “I feel like having four is so much more zen. I feel really calm and zen. I feel like they all love each other,” Kim said adding that four kids “is the perfect, magic number.”

Kim also shared that is very important to her to give each one of her children gets the same tender love and care. “Because I am so busy doing so many other things, I want to make sure each kid gets so much of my attention,” she explained. “I would do even numbers, so I could go two more, but I won’t. I think … [I’d] go crazy.” We are so happy to see Kim and Kanye going strong with their thriving family.
