‘Teen Mom 2’ Star Kailyn Lowry Reveals Her Beloved Dog Bear Passed Away: ‘He Was the Best Boy’

Building a Bond

Kailyn, 27, has been the proud owner of Bear since he was a puppy. Over the years, she’s made countless memories with the Rottweiler, previously noting how he’s one of the sweetest dogs ever.

The reality star has continued to share updates about her pooch online. Back in 2013, she gushed over his accomplishments. “Bear Bear did sooo good in dog training today,” Kailyn wrote.

Expressing Her Concerns

Unfortunately, it looks like Bear has been facing some serious health issues recently. The TM2 alum took to Twitter with a new message about her beloved pup earlier this week.

Tough Day

“4 hours at the vet & $4400 later,” Kailyn wrote on August 25. “[Fingers crossed] they figure out what is going on with Bear.”

Unfortunate Update

The mother of three later revealed that it wasn’t looking good for Bear. “Strep and putting my dog down. I think this is by far the worst week I’ve had in a long time,” Kailyn tweeted.

Rest in Peace

On August 28, Kailyn sadly revealed that her dog is no longer with us. “Bear #RIP,” the reality star captioned her post, including snaps featuring Bear and her three boys, Isaac, Lincoln and Lux.

Outpouring of Support

Several friends sent supportive messages to the MTV alum, including her costar, Leah Messer, who responded “love you” to Kailyn’s tweet. Lindsie Chrisley commented as well, writing, “I love you” with heart emojis.

Cherishing the Memories

Of course, many fans were also sharing their condolences in the comment section. “So sorry for your loss. Blessed that your babies had such a beautiful buddy for so long. May he rest over the rainbow bridge,” one wrote.

“I’m so sorry Kail! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family #RIP Bear,” another added, while a third wrote, “Sorry for the loss, pets r family too and many don’t understand that.”

Kailyn even took to her Instagram Stories with heartwarming throwback photos of Bear, showing him spending time with her kids before his passing.

Dealing With Heartbreak

In the wake of the sad news, Kailyn’s assistant, Kristen, revealed how the MTV alum — who also has a French bulldog — is coping. She even made sure to acknowledge all of the supportive messages they’ve received.

“Kail and the boys want to thank everyone for their thoughts and well wishes at this time,” Kristen said in a statement shared with In Touch.

“They love and miss Bear, he was the best boy and they’ll never forget him,” she added.
