Kacey Musgraves Fires Back at Troll Who Said She’s ‘Less Attractive Now’ for Smoking
Feeling a little spacey, Kacey? Country singer Kacey Musgraves fired back at a troll who criticized her for posting a photo of herself smoking what appeared to be a joint on Tuesday, September 10.
“You’re so less attractive to me now. sad” read the comment posted on Thursday, September 12. The brunette beauty quickly hit back, “Oh noo! I only exist purely for your pleasure. What am I going to do,” the 31-year-old wrote sarcastically. Fans were quick to praise the country star for her clapback, commenting, “@spaceykacey I love you so much more now,” and “@spaceykacey love this response.”
Fans had mixed reviews on the starlet’s controversial accessory. “Wow, you are far less beautiful now that I’ve seen these photos. Smoking hasn’t been sexy for decades Milady,” said one, while another comment read, “[Way] to impress those teenage kids that follow you … Not.”
Despite the backlash, many people applauded Kacey for the photos. “Hells yeah!! My kind of girl,” one user wrote, while another defended her right to post whatever she chooses. “This woman is 31 years old. She didn’t sign up to be a role model for your kids that apparently look up to her and not you because you aren’t a great parent. And she is not breaking any laws. If a picture was taken of her smoking Newports no one would care.”
Kacey has become known for pushing the boundaries in country music and on social media, and it’s gained her the respect of her colleagues in the music industry. Back in February, she tore up the 2019 Grammy Awards stage next to Katy Perry and country music legend Dolly Parton, who joined the blonde beauty on stage for her 1977 hit song “Here You Come Again.” Maybe she should collab with Willie Nelson next!
