You know what they say about the couple who cooks together! Josh and Anna Duggar recently spent some quality time in the kitchen as they whipped up a tasty meal for the whole Duggar family. On Tuesday, September 10, the soon-to-be mom of six gave her husband a rare Instagram shout-out when she revealed that they’d teamed up to make enough steak fajitas for the extended Counting On crew. Between their in-laws, family members and friends, the couple had a lot to celebrate.

“Monday night (family night),” Anna, 31, captioned an Instagram album that included photos of her son Mason and the dinner she and Josh, 31, made. “It’s becoming the favorite night of the week! Josh and I enjoyed spending time in the kitchen together making some grass-fed steak fajitas. Tonight we celebrated Mason’s second birthday with Michelle and cousin Evan. 🎂 We also celebrated [Lauren Swanson‘s parents] Dwain & Lana’s Anniversary. 👰🏼💓! (Joe [Duggar] and Kendra [Caldwell] are out of town, so we will probably celebrate their anniversary next week. 😉)”

• M O N D A Y N I G H T • (Family Night) It’s becoming the favorite night of the week! Josh and I enjoyed spending time in the kitchen together making some grass-fed steak fajitas🥩👩🏻‍🍳👨🏻‍🍳. Tonight we celebrated Mason’s 2nd Birthday with Michelle and cousin Evan🎂. We also celebrated Dwain & Lana’s Anniversary👰🏼💓🤵🏼! (Joe and Kendra are out of town so we will probably celebrate their anniversary next week 😉) It was a great evening hearing from Austin about the work he did with the Medic Corps team in the Bahamas 🇧🇸🚁 . Watching Dwain & Lana play the newlywed game💘📋 (I’m so thankful for this couple, they are not just family and sweet friends, they are awesome mentors who are always saying an encouraging word and living out a genuine love for God and others 🙌🏼) and of course enjoying some ice cream cake since there were so many things to celebrate🍦😋! Family is such a treasure, and life is short! I miss having Great-Grandma here, she never missed a birthday and would join in on all the family night games — even if the game included eating nasty Jelly Beans. Wherever your family is — be sure to let them know how much you love them, you never know when it will be your last time you have a chance to say it! Well, It’s been a great day — so many special people were celebrated and i’m closing out the day with a heart full of thankfulness! 💛 P.S. — One more thing I’m celebrating is Mason as outgrown his dairy allergy — he thinks ice cream is pretty good too! 🐮 #littleduggars

There was one thing missing, though. Or rather, one person missing. “I miss having Great-Grandma [Mary Duggar] here,” Amy admitted. “She never missed a birthday and would join in on all the family night games — even if the game included eating nasty Jelly Beans. Wherever your family is — be sure to let them know how much you love them. You never know when it will be your last time you have a chance to say it!”

Calling the night of celebrations a “great day,” the expecting mama admitting she has a “heart full of thankfulness” for the people around her, including husband Josh. But there is something extra special to be thankful for. “Mason [has] outgrown his dairy allergy,” she admitted. “He thinks ice cream is pretty good, too!”
