Jordyn Woods Compares Cheating Scandal Backlash to Cancer: ‘It Became Like a Tumor’
Opening up after tragedy. Jordyn Woods got candid about her cheating scandal with Khloé Kardashian’s baby daddy, Tristan Thompson — and the fallout that cost her a friendship with her former best friend and Khloé’s little sister, Kylie Jenner. She said that the harassment she faced online in the aftermath felt like that of a “cancer.”
In the September 2019 issue of Cosmopolitan UK, the 21-year-old discussed her public fall out with her close friends and the world. She said that looking at the criticism of her character online made her sick. “It becomes addictive to look on the internet, to look at your name. When I would look at my name and see all of the things that people were saying, it became like a tumor,” she explains.
In the six months that have passed since the incident, Jordyn took time to retreat and recover. “I just need[ed] some time by myself to try to understand what [was] happening, why it [was] happening, and how am I going to react to this internally, you know? How can I make things right with myself, with God and with my relationships?” She continued, “It took some time off in order for me to have a level head on how I should react.”
The socialite stated that she “was in shock” the night of their alleged hookup. She alleged to Cosmo that the father to True, 15 months, kissed her and in that moment she, “didn’t know how to feel.” The series of events have played out time and time again from the perspective of the Kardashian-Jenners on their reality show KUWTK. The cheating scandal played a major role in the story line for season 16. Khloé, 35, stated on the show, “We all knew what Tristan is capable of. I mean look what he did when I was nine months pregnant. But I never in a million years thought that’s who she was.”
Jordyn said that she hopes to one day mend her broken relationship with her former best friend, Kylie, 21. “I hope everything falls into place and that we can all grow and build our relationships with our family and God and come back together one day and be stronger and happier.” Although there is no word on whether Ky is open to reconciling, she recently just unfollowed Jordyn on Instagram.
