Deena Cortese Says JWoww and Zack Are ‘Not Together’ But ‘They’re Working on’ Their Relationship

Tough times make tougher couples! Jersey Shore star Deena Cortese shared an update on costar Jenni “JWoww” Farley’s tumultuous relationship with ex-boyfriend Zack Carpinello after they split following his flirting scandal.

“Right now they’re not together, but they’re working on it,” the 32-year-old told In Touch and other reporters at the E! People’s Choice Awards on Sunday, November 10. “I like him, just unfortunate events in the one episode,” she added referring to the infamous scene where the 24-year-old got super flirty with Jenni’s Jersey Shore costar Angelina Pivarnick.

“After seeing tonight’s episode I’m pretty hurt,” Jenni, 33, said in a statement on Instagram just hours after the episode aired. “I feel disrespected by someone I called a friend and by someone who stated they loved me. For [five] months I was kept in the dark about this. For [five] months I was naive, probably laughed at and made into a story line that will forever haunt me. My heart hurts on so many levels. One thing I learned from tonight’s episode is know your value. Don’t ever lower your standards.” After the episode aired, Jenni “ended the relationship,” a source told Us Weekly back in October.

The following day, Zack took to Instagram to apologize to both Jenni and Angelina, 33. “I made mistakes that I cannot take back, which I take full responsibility for,” the pro wrestler said in his apology. “Jenni does not deserve any damage from anybody else. This is on me. I sincerely apologize to Jenni. I apologize to Angelina as well. I love Jenni, with everything I have, I make this known to her every day. I will continue to do everything to make this known to her and her kids, who also have my heart. I will make it certain that nothing like this ever happens again, in any way regardless of the outcome.”

Since then, the two reunited for a trip to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida on October 19. Zack took to Instagram to share video clips from his day at the park, in which Jenni’s voice could be heard in the background. While they were spending time together, the two did not confirm they were back on.

Prior to her relationship with Zack, Jenni was married to Roger Mathews whom she shares two children with – Meilani, 5 and  Greyson, 3. The reality star filed for divorce from her man in September 2018, and it was finalized in August.
