Seems like Jenelle Evans just can’t do anything right according to Teen Mom fans these days. Earlier this week, she was slammed on Instagram for posting her California vacation pictures without mentioning that the state was battling deadly fires in several different cities. Now that she’s talking about the fires, specifically the Woolsey Fire that blazed through Malibu, CA, burning homes to the ground, she’s taking even more heat. The push-back came after the reality star called the beach city her “second home” — and fans were like, uh, when did you live there?

“NC deals with hurricanes with lots of water and we lose lots of important items we will never get back, but some stuff you can recover,” the Teen Mom 2 personality shared on Twitter. “Fire is total destruction and devastates me to see all of this. Malibu is like a second home to me. I can’t imagine. #StayStrong #Rebuild”

Some of her followers complained that the mom-of-three wasn’t putting her money where her mouth was. “It’s pretty sad I work every day of every week, live in NC, yet still donated to hurricane relief and to Cali wildfires,” wrote one Twitter user. “You have WAY more money then I do, yet my HEART IS bigger than yours. Learn to help people; it’s amazing how it makes you feel to help those in need.” Another simply called her out for mentioning her own feelings about Malibu. “Always making yourself a part of tragic situations,” they tweeted.

But that wasn’t all the star said. Radar Online claims that a now-deleted tweet from Jenelle insisted that she considered Malibu her “second home” because she lived there for two months a few years back and always makes sure to visit when she’s in the area. Fans weren’t having that excuse either, though. “Rehab doesn’t count!” clapped back another Twitter user, referencing the TM2 celeb’s time at the Malibu Horizons rehab center. Another echoed that same sentiment, writing, “Lol she said she lived in Malibu but really she went to rehab for weed hahaha.”

But it didn’t stop there. One fan also pointed out that the whole thing sounded a little familiar coming from the 26-year-old. “Malibu is like your second home? Isn’t that what you said about St. Thomas when they had their hurricane? Pathetic,” commented one fan. Meanwhile, others just kept things simple, joking at the star’s expense. “I can almost relate,” read another response. “I saw a picture of Malibu once.” Ouch. Maybe one day the MTV audience will let Jenelle slide on things like this. But, uh, it doesn’t seem like that’ll be any time soon.
