Jenelle Evans Doesn’t Understand Why People Get so “Butt Hurt” on Twitter Over Donald Trump
Let’s get political! Jenelle Evans took to Twitter to support President Donald Trump after a federal judge in Manhattan ruled that he cannot block anyone on the platform for expressing political views, as it violates their First Amendment rights. NBC News reported that Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald deemed it “unconstitutional” and Jenelle was not having it. Watch the video above to see how Jenelle supported the president.
Not only did she point out the fact that everyone is always “attacking” Trump for “the dumbest sh-t,” but she also said she didn’t understand why it was happening.” Why does social media butt hurt people so bad?! No one [cared] about [blocking others] until Trump was president,” the Teen Mom 2 star said. “If someone cussed him out in public, he’d have them removed, but he can’t block people on Twitter?!”
When one fan tried to argue that Trump is not letting people voice their opinions if he blocks them, Jenelle fired back. “He isn’t blocking them from voicing their opinion to Twitter,” she said. “Pretty sure Twitter’s CEO has those rights. [Trump is] always listening to opinions every day, whether Twitter is involved or not.” Trump has yet to thank Jenelle for her support, but it could be coming.
The president is notorious for calling people out who have publicly put themselves in his corner, especially when it comes to celebrities. He personally thanked Kanye West on Twitter when the rapper expressed his support for what Trump has been doing for the US.
However, regardless of how Jenelle or Kanye feels about Trump, Judge Buchwald had the final say when it came to his Twitter usage. The case had first been brought to her attention by the Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University, who represent seven people blocked by Trump on Twitter.
“We’re pleased with the court’s decision,” Jameel Jaffer, executive director of the Institute, said. “The president’s practice of blocking critics on Twitter is pernicious and unconstitutional, and we hope this ruling will bring it to an end.”
