Jenelle Evans Says Her Relationship With Her Mom Is Beyond the Point of Repair
Looks like we shouldn’t expect Jenelle Evans and her mother, Barbara, to reconcile anytime soon.
The Teen Mom 2 star recently opened up about their estrangement — and admitted that it’s unlikely the mother-and-daughter duo will ever get along given their ongoing battle about custody of Jenelle’s oldest child, seven-year-old Jace.

“We are in the same situation. You know we went to court about Jace and I got a visitation schedule set, but she’s still kind of bent out of shape because I still have resentment towards her for still keeping my son and we still butt heads,” the mother-of-three told E! News.
She continued, “I think our relationship’s lost. I don’t ever think there’s really coming back at any point in time.”
As In Touch previously reported, Jenelle had a minor victory against her mother in court and was granted weekend, holidays, and summers with her firstborn.

In her book, Read Between the Lines, Jenelle claimed that her mother “framed” her as a way to get custody of Jace.
“One night, my mother convinced me to go out with my friends so I could relax. My mother. Wanted me to relax,” the reality star, 25, writes. “I should have been suspicious at the time. My mother wasn’t the relaxing type of person, much less the kind of woman to encourage others to enjoy themselves. Least of all me. I took the bait, however, and went out for the evening with Tori.”
She says that when she returned home from her night out with her close friend, she was greeted by quite the surprise — Child Protective Services.
She goes on, “When I returned home with Tori the next morning, we found a Child Protective Services vehicle in the driveway. My mother had called them and told them I was out partying all night and left my son at home. She told them I did this pretty much every night, which was a lie… My mother had set me up, and I had fallen for it.”
