‘Heavy Weights’ Came Out 20 Years Ago Today — See the Cast Then and Now!

Aaron Schwartz (Gerry Gardner)

After starring in ‘Heavy Weights’ and ‘The Mighty Ducks,’ Aaron, 34, took several years off from acting before returning to the spotlight as Vanya the doorman in ‘Gossip Girl’ and its spinoff web series ‘Chasing Dorota.’

Since then, he’s had minor TV roles on ‘Law & Order,’ ‘Suits’ and ‘The Originals.’

Shaun Weiss (Josh Burnbalm)

Another ‘Mighty Ducks’ alum, Shaun, 35, has had a steady — albeit not overwhelmingly successful — career in show business. You may have seen him in shows like ‘Boy Meets World’ and ‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch’ back in the day.

Most recently, he appeared in the movie ‘Drillbit Taylor’ opposite Owen Wilson — a close friend and frequent collaborator of his ‘Heavy Weights’ costar Ben Stiller.

Kenan Thompson (Roy)

As you probably already know, Roy grew up to be a pretty successful comedian named Kenan Thompson, 36 — who has 11 seasons of ‘Saturday Night Live’ under his belt!

Tom McGowan (Pat Finley)

Since playing Pat Finley — the Camp Hope camper-turned-counselor fighting Tony Perkis’ evil regime — Tom McGowan, 55, has had a pretty successful career in Hollywood. You may have caught him on the big screen in flicks like ‘Bad Santa’ or on the silver screen with parts in ‘Hannah Montana,’ ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ and more.

Paul Feig (Tim)

Since reciting one of the film’s most quotable lines — “Guys, you can’t kidnap a camp counselor, they give people the chair for something like this!” — Paul Feig, 52, has kept busy, though most of his work is done behind the camera now.

In addition to directing ‘Bridesmaids,’ he’s the brains behind the upcoming all-female reboot of ‘Ghostbusters!’

Ben Stiller (Tony Perkis)

You may or may not have heard of Ben Stiller — who plays fitness entrepreneur Tony Perkis, the man determined to change the ways at Camp Hope.
