Yikes — let's hope criminal activity doesn't run in the family. Gigi and Bella Hadid's father, Mohamed Hadid, was recently sentenced to three years probation and ordered to complete 200 hours of community service for disobeying court orders to cease construction of a mansion.
The 68-year-old millionaire was in the process of building a 30,000 square foot mansion when the city of Los Angeles ordered him to abandon the project because of the size of the property. Apparently, the home was larger than the city allows and residents began to fear for their safety since it sits on a destabilized hillside. Watch the video below for more details about the case.
But, Mohamed is not joking around when it comes to building this property. He even hired former OJ Simpson attorney Robert Shapiro — who now represents the Kardashian family — to represent him. Robert said the building was as "safe as any building that’s ever been built.”
"I can assure you that when this building is complete, it will be one of the most beautiful homes in Bel Air, if not the country," he continued. But the neighbors are not convinced and they've already nicknamed the gigantic property "Starship Enterprise."
Well, we wonder how this one will end.
