While most eight-year-olds will be heading back to school in a few weeks, Farrah Abraham's daughter, Sophia, will be jet setting the globe with her mom and preparing for New York Fashion Week. The Teen Mom OG star opened up exclusively to In Touch at the MTV Video Music Awards over the weekend and revealed that her little girl is homeschooled.

The proud mama said, "Sophia is the best! I'm just watching her and she's like, 'What is all of this?!' It's great to be watching her. Sophia started school. She's doing homeschooling, so she gets to come to more events and that's awesome." She added, "I decided to do that because, at school, I didn't really want to make it about the bullying, dating, those things. It's focusing more on her studies, traveling the world if she wants to do that while she is going to school. She's doing more runway so she'll be at New York Fashion Week. She has a lot going on and this just helps her be the better her."

Since her birth, Sophia Abraham has been in front of the camera. In 2014, she appeared in her mother’s music video for the song "Blowin," which has garnered over 3 million views on YouTube. She was also featured on the cover of Farrah’s book, My Teenage Dream Ended, which was a New York Times Best Seller and already has an extensive modeling career. Last year, the 26-year-old received backlash on social media after she posted some photos of her daughter with a full face of makeup in a two-piece swimsuit. "She is a child! Why in the hell are you trying to make her look sexy!?!?" One person commented. "Is this not something to be reported? Now all the pedophiles have something to look at, this is infuriating and disturbing." Another agreed, "There is something very wrong about making a child look sexy in pics; it should be against the law."

Regardless, the comments don't seem to phase the mother-of-one. She concluded, "We do virtual schooling and with the help of me or a tutor, it's easier for her to get through it. She can be home. She can be anywhere! She's virtual!"
