But now, at the age of 41, he’s apologizing to her for all of his wrongdoings in his new video for “Headlights.”

The Spike Lee-directed video, which dropped on Mother’s Day, focuses on his mom and was filmed in the musician’s childhood neighborhood in Detroit.
In the tune, he raps, “Ma, you’re still beautiful to me because you’re my mom” and “I love you, Debbie Mathers.”

Though he still highlights his trouble childhood, Eminem, who’s father to 18-year-old daughter Hailie Jade Scott, apologizes for depicting Debbie in such a negative light in his past videos. (Ah hem, “Cleanin Out My Closet” for one.)
