Can you believe Dr. Phil McGraw has been on our TV screens for the last 17 years? The 69-year-old talk show host is celebrating the 3,000th episode of his show, Dr. Phil, on Tuesday, September 24, and you do not want to miss the epic festivities!

After 17 seasons and nearly 20,000 guests, Dr. Phil is being honored for his hard work on television. In honor of the big milestone, the Oklahoma native is celebrating by having some of his studio audience filled with favorite guests from past seasons. Dr. Phil also covers broken relationships, out-of-control teenagers and guests struggling with addictions and disorders, and viewers will get to find out where some of the memorable people are now. For instance, twins Taylor and Tricia admitted two years ago they only had a few months to live because of an identical eating disorder. However, Dr. Phil explained that they gained 40 healthy pounds since then and brought them out for the big reveal.

Wait, there’s more! One of Dr. Phil’s former guests will surprise everyone with an engagement ring and proposal on stage. Hmm … we wonder who it will be!

Of course, the cast and crew couldn’t help but shower Dr. Phil with some love — and a huge cake! “I’ve always said I have the easiest job in television because I have the hardest working staff in television,” he gushed during his show. “And I would like to take this moment to thank each and every one of them for the tireless dedication and countless hours of work. I also want to thank Buddy the Cake Boss for making this amazing cake.”

The Jonas Brothers and other celebrities left surprise messages for the TV personality. Also, tune in to find out what made Dr. Phil nearly speechless. Congrats, Dr. Phil! Keep the episodes coming.

Dr. Phil’s 3000th show airs on CBS on Tuesday, September 24, at 3 p.m. ET.
