In the sequel to The Shining, he’s all grown up, but that doesn’t mean he’s grown out of his power. In the flick, Golden Globe-winner Ewan McGregor plays the all-grown-up Dan as he’s forced to confront his traumatizing past. When he meets Abra, a teenage girl who has the “shine,” the two must team up to stop those who would hunt them down for their powers — but Dan still can’t quite escape what happened to him back at the Overlook Hotel.
