Well, what do we have here? Rihanna sent pulses racing when she modeled red-hot lingerie from her Savage x Fenty collection on her Instagram page over the weekend. It garnered a lot of attention, even from her former flame, Chris Brown, who let his thoughts be known by leaving a “flushed” emoji in the comments. However, did RiRi shut him down with her cryptic post?

Several fans were grilling Rihanna’s ex for commenting underneath her sultry photos. “Chris get outta here,” one wrote, while another added: “He lost the right to checkup on her.” Even though the Barbadian beauty didn’t directly reply to Chris, she did post an interesting Bible verse that some viewed as a response to Chris’ flirty remark. “There may be times when it seems that you cannot go forward, but at least you do not have to go backward. You may not know how to forge ahead, but you can stand firmly on what you know of God,” the message read that Rihanna shared.

“This is the ground I have gained, and I’m not giving it up, devil,” it continued. “You are not driving me back into the hole that God pulled me out of. I am going to stand strong in the power of God until He delivers me.” It’s been nearly a decade since the R&B singer pleaded guilty to assaulting his then-girlfriend, Rihanna, on the night of the 51st Grammy Awards. Rihanna, 30, and Chris, 29, briefly reconciled after the 2009 assault and they later collaborated on two hit singles “Nobody’s Business” and “Birthday Cake (Remix),” in 2012. Chris also opened up about the incident in his documentary Welcome to my Life.

Since then, both Rihanna and Chris have been focused on their careers and moving on. Rihanna has been treating fans to beauty products, a fashion line, and it’s rumored she’ll be dropping new music in the near future. Hopefully we’ll be treated to some fiery jams this holiday season!
