She’s making strides. Demi Lovato will be celebrating her 27th birthday on August 20, and it looks like this next chapter of her life is already off to a fabulous start. The singer is “doing great” with her sobriety journey, a source tells In Touch exclusively, noting how she’s back to her “creative self.”

“She’s writing songs, working out, meditating and just filling her path, and of course being sober,” the insider exclusively tells In Touch. “She feels like her last relapse was an an eye-opener and a reminder that she needs to stay diligent and work her sobriety program.”

As far as her love life goes, “Demi is working on herself, there’s no room for any serious relationships right now.” The source added, “Dating isn’t a priority. She and Henry Levi are just friends right now, and no, she’s not dating Bachelor Mike Johnson. Boyfriends take time and relationships are hard works. She has plenty of time for that later. It’s about being present, writing songs, and taking it slow. She’s in an amazing place right now.”

Demi has definitely been living it up to the fullest while getting her celebrations started. “Last day as 26,” she captioned her sizzling new Instagram post on August 19, showing her dressed to impress. The “Sorry Not Sorry” singer attended Ariana Grande‘s Sweetener concert at the O2 Arena in London and she was given the royal treatment for the special occasion.

“This was too sweet not to post … before show prayer they did this for my bday 😭 I’m so so proud of you @arianagrande. You f–king killed that!!! I love you tons 💕,” Demi captioned her post documenting the heartwarming shout-out for her birthday.

It’s now been over a year since the songstress was hospitalized due to an apparent drug overdose. “Today I would’ve had 7 years sober,” Demi candidly wrote on her Instagram Story back in March, while reflecting on her relapse. “I don’t regret going out because I needed to make those mistakes, but I must never forget that’s what they were: mistakes.”

We’re so glad to see her thriving today!
