Crush Alert! Cole Sprouse Admits He Was ‘Infatuated’ With Jennifer Aniston While Filming ‘Friends’
Aw! Cole Sprouse admitted that he had a crush on Jennifer Aniston while he filmed Friends from 2000 to 2002. Well, we can all certainly agree that the brunette beauty is quite the catch.
“I remember a lot [about filming Friends],” he told Entertainment Tonight at the Five Feet Apart screening on Thursday, March 7, in Los Angeles. “I remember being infatuated with Jennifer Aniston,” who played Rachel Green on the series.
He added, “I remember as a kid being quite intimidated ‘cause it was, at the point that I had stepped on, it was a really well-oiled machine and it was a bunch of older actors, and I was the youngest actor there.”
The now-26-year-old Riverdale star worked most closely with David Schwimmer, since he played his character Ross Gellar’s son, Ben, for several years. Even though it sounds like he felt nervous working with the more-seasoned actors, he has nothing but fond memories from his time on set. “I remember everyone treating me so kindly,” he said. “And getting to meet a lot of cool people behind the scenes.”
On Thursday night, the handsome hunk made a rare red carpet appearance with his girlfriend, Lili Reinhart, who also stars on the CW teen drama with him. But Cole couldn’t help but talk about his new movie role in Five Feet Apart, which tells a story about two teenagers — Stella and Will — who both suffer from Cystic Fibrosis. Since they have the disease, they must stay “five feet apart” at all times, so that they don’t infect each other.
“I mean, Haley and I had chemistry immediately,” the Disney alum said about his costar, Haley Lu Richardson. “You know, there’s a respect among stars that you’re not really doing that anyhow, but I think for us, most of the emotional heavy lifting and sort of the empathic heavy lifting, we were assisted by patients with cystic fibrosis and medical professionals the whole step of the way to try and help us get into the psychology of those moments.”
Now that Cole is a big deal, we hope that him and Jen can reunite soon — whether IRL or on-screen.
