Channing Tatum Is ‘Really Happy’ for Ex Jenna Dewan After She Announced Pregnancy No. 2
No bad blood here! Channing Tatum couldn’t be more thrilled that his ex-wife, Jenna Dewan, is expecting her second child — her first with her boyfriend, Steve Kazee. “Channing’s really happy for Jenna,” a source exclusively told In Touch. “The good news is that [Channing] likes Steve, so he knows that Jenna and their daughter are in good hands.”
The former flames — who share their 6-year-old daughter, Everly — called it quits in April 2018, but it seems like they are in a great spot post-split. “For a couple who announced they were divorcing a little over a year and a half ago, everything seems to be going as smoothly as can be expected,” the insider explained. “Jenna and Channing have definitely uncoupled better than most.”
At the end of the day, the 39-year-old handsome hunk just wants what is best for his little girl. “Channing’s main concern is his daughter Everly’s happiness and well-being, and she’s ecstatic that mommy is having a baby and that she’s finally going to become a big sister.”
The World of Dance starlet, 38, and the Broadway stud, 43, were first linked in October 2018, but recently celebrated their 1-year-anniversary of adopting a puppy together. The brunette beauty couldn’t help but gush about this new chapter in her life on social media. “Becoming a mother is quite simply the absolute best, most incredible thing that has ever happened to me,” she wrote on Tuesday, September 24. “@SteveKazee, you are a gift from above, and I couldn’t be more excited to be expanding our family together! Than you guys for all the love!!”
For his part, Steve took to Instagram to write a sweet note about his girlfriend. “I can’t even begin to describe the feelings that I have had since we first learned that Jenna was pregnant!” he wrote that same day. “I have waited my entire life for this moment and couldn’t have found a better person to build a family with. The past year and a half has brought so many things into my life that have filled me with the deepest of gratitude.”
He added, “A partner who radiates love, warmth and kindness. A partner who has faced some of the hardest moments life can deal you with grace, humility and a desire to learn from the ups and downs. A partner who is continuously growing from those lessons and who supports my growth as a person with love, unwavering support and understanding.”
While the parents-to-be haven’t announced the sex of the baby yet, Jenna’s daughter is hoping for the best. “Everly wants a little sister. She’s already said there’s no need for a baby brother,” the source noted. “Jenna and Steve just want a healthy child, though they’re secretly hoping for a boy. Of course, they’re not telling that to Everly.”
Meanwhile, the She’s the Man alum is currently dating singer Jessie J. On Sunday, September 22, the “Masterpiece” crooner, 31, performed at The Troubadour in West Hollywood, and Channing was there to support his lady.
Sounds like one big happy family!
