Busy Philipps Defends Her Daughter’s Unusual Name
Actress Busy Philipps has taken to Twitter to defend her newborn daughter's quirky name. The Cougar Town star and her husband, screenwriter Marc Silverstein, welcomed Cricket Pearl Silverstein on July 2. The name continued an animal-theme trend in the family, as Cricket's big sister is named Birdie Leigh. After Busy was criticized for giving her daughter a name that would "put her in therapy," the actress went on Twitter to respond.
It's weird people think my kids will be in therapy because of their names. Guys, my kids will be therapy for LOTS of reasons, I'm sure.

Busy's far from the only celeb who chose an unusual baby name. Maybe when Cricket gets a little older, she can have playdates with Gwyneth Paltrow's daughter Apple Martin or Kim Kardashian's baby girl North West?
However, not everyone had negative things to say about Cricket's birth. Comedian Paul F. Tompkins was among the celebs who tweeted good wishes at Busy when she posted the first picture of her daughter.
