Brad Pitt Is Reportedly ‘Devastated’ After Maddox Jolie-Pitt Was Spotted Looking At Colleges In South Korea
Aw, poor Maddox Jolie-Pitt! First, his parents got divorced and now he seems to be trying to get far away from his famous dad, Brad Pitt. The 17-year-old was spotted visiting colleges in Seoul, South Korea with his mom, Angelina Jolie, and Brad is reportedly devastated that his son could be studying thousands of miles away from California.
The source told Radar Online, “Brad’s been trying to rebuild his relationship with Maddox since his breakup with Angie. But Maddox remains a mama’s boy and simply can’t take the fighting anymore!” His relationship with his son has never been the same after the airplane incident in 2016 that ultimately led to the couple divorcing. The insider told Us Weekly that the Allied actor “was drinking heavily” and Angelina asked her then-husband to “sober up” on the private airplane that their whole family was on.
That was the wake-up call that the actor needed. Since then, the 53-year-old has been dedicated to getting sober for the sake of his kids. He told GQ magazine in May 2017 that he “could drink a Russian under the table with his own vodka and that he was “a professional and “good.” He admitted to the magazine that he didn’t “want to live that way anymore.”
Brad is trying to be the best father he can be, though. A source told Us Weekly, “He goes to therapy every week and is mostly interested in learning and bettering himself as a man and father.”
Unfortunately, therapy might not be enough to save his relationship with his oldest son. A source told Radar, “Brad has cleaned up his act and worked hard to improve things with Maddox.” Maddox and Pax both went with Angelina to South Korea recently and Brad is worried that this could be the beginning of the end to their father-son relationship. The source continued, “Brad’s terrified that he may never be able to fix his relationship with his son!”
We hope these two can work it out and come to some sort of compromise!
