We may all be obsessed with HBO‘s hit show Big Little Lies, but it turns out that at least one of the stars might be ready to move on. When asked about shooting a third season, Nicole Kidman was less than enthused — and her comment sent a not-so-subtle message to her co-stars. “I think it would simply be hard to get the whole group together,” the actress, 51, said in a new interview with Variety. She seemed to be hinting that she’s not up for another run, and a source confirmed that she’s just not that interested in the show anymore.

“Nicole doesn’t need the money,” an insider told Life & Style Magazine. “And [she] has already won an Emmy award.” Basically, there’s just not a lot left to tempt her into returning. With plenty of cash in the bank and an accolade already secured, Nicole’s gotten plenty from the project. If the point of being on a prestige show is getting prestige, the actress has that in spades. And, honestly, it seems like she’s getting kind of bored. “She’s ready to move forward and focus on other projects,” the source explained.

Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern, on the other hand, “would love to film another season,” the insider notes. And considering that Reese is a driving force behind the show as the founder of Hello Sunshine, one of the production companies making the show, she might have the sway. Then again, the other production company running things is Blossom Films, which Nicole founded. Both actresses are executive producers for the series, further complicating the issue.

“Right now, everything is up in the air,” the source admitted. But as fans, we’re hoping that Nicole changes her mind. After all, she’s gushed about her costars on Instagram plenty of times, especially Reese. And during the 2018 Emmy Awards, she shared a photo of them all on Instagram, writing, “So looking forward to watching the #Emmys tonight. Congratulations to all of the nominees! I have such indelible memories from last year. Thank you so much xx.” Of course, that didn’t stop her from staying home. We’ll just be over here crossing our fingers and willing a third season into being.
