What a fun day! Ben Affleck hung out with his 7-year-old son, Samuel, at the happiest place on earth, a.k.a. Disneyland, in Anaheim, California, on Tuesday, August 13 — two days before the actor’s birthday. Ben was spotted walking around with Samuel, and the pair even stopped by the new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge attraction. Of course, it looks like the duo had an awesome day together. The 46-year-old wore a blue-and-white plaid long-sleeved shirt with jeans and sneakers while Samuel wore a gray T-shirt with patterned pants and Velcro shoes. Samuel was carrying around a shopping bag, so hopefully his dad bought him a fun souvenir!

Ben’s kiddo held some custom lightsabers during their stroll through the park. The Good Will Hunting alum shares Samuel as well as two more kids — daughters Violet, 13, and Seraphina, 10 — with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.

Friendly Exes

Even though Ben is no longer with the brunette beauty, 47, the former flames make a big effort to spend time with their family. On August 7, the Hollywood A-listers both attended their son’s swimming class in Los Angeles. This isn’t the first time the duo has been spotted together post-divorce. In the past, they have taken their kids to church, sat at one of their children’s soccer games and even went for a stroll together.

Shout-Out to Mom

The pair tied the knot in 2005 but decided to split up in 2018. However, Ben isn’t afraid to gush about his former love. “She’s wonderful,” he said during an appearance on the Today show in March. “I’m lucky [my kids] got a great mom, and she helps out a great deal with making sure we coparent in as good a way as possible.”

The California native has made it clear that his children mean everything to him. “I hope I’m a pretty good dad,” he said. “I certainly try very hard. Dads are so important to kids, and it’s our responsibility to be part of their lives, to be as in it as moms.”

“The focus of my love. It’s what I love doing,” the dad of three gushed about fatherhood. “It’s what makes me happy, and the rest of the stuff kind of follows.”

Parenting Foul

However, sometimes parenting can be rough. When Ben found out that his son didn’t love the New England Patriots, he decided to take matters into his own hands. “The game before … the World Series game, I took my kids to the game,” he told Jimmy Kimmel in February. “On the way to the game, I was kind of giving my kids a pep talk — and I was telling my son in particular, you know, ‘We’re really excited because we’re from Boston, and this is a big deal and the Red Sox,’ and I’m giving him the whole history.”

Sad Moment

“And he listens to me, and then he stops and goes, ‘Dad. You’re from Boston. I’m from L.A.,’” he continued. “And I had a full existential crisis. ‘I failed, I’m a bad father, this is a disaster, I don’t know what to do.’”

Taking Control

So, the Triple Frontier star decided to decorate Samuel’s bedroom with New England Patriots apparel. “My ex-wife thinks it’s creepy,” he laughed. “I think it’s appropriate for grown men to make totems and idols out of other grown men.”
