Taking matters into her own hands. Bella Thorne admitted in a new interview that she never learned two basic skills — how to read and count.

“I don’t talk about it in this one, but in the third book, it would be the fact that I never learned how to read, and I learned how to read from reading scripts,” the 21-year-old said during an interview for the “Chicks in the Office” podcast on Thursday, June 20. The hosts — Maria Ciuffo and Francesca Mariano — asked the red-headed beauty about the things she has accomplished in her new book, The Life of a Wannabe Mogul: Mental Disarray. “I never learned how to count, and I learned how to count from counting my dad’s cash. I’m obsessed with money and literal cash.”

The Famous in Love alum continued to discuss other challenges she has overcome in the past few years. “I didn’t know how to dance. I had two left feet, and I couldn’t even bounce on the same rhythm, and I did a dance show about dancing,” she said, referring to her Disney show Shake It Up. “I was tone deaf, and I own a record label, and I’m signed with Sony as an artist. And I can f—king sing a cappella like a bitch ass now. So, f—k with me.”

The singer added, “I had $200 to my name by 18 and bought a house by 19. I’m writing a series and got an Oscar winner to play my mom. I’m out here doing s—t that people say is impossible.”

In the past, the singer revealed she had dyslexia during a segment called “The Time I…” on Disney Channel. “I remember when I started first grade. Right away, it was awful because I couldn’t read as well as the other kids,” she said at the time. “My brain mixed up letters like ‘B’ and ‘D’ and ‘M’ and ‘W.’ Dyslexia is different for everyone who has it. For me, it just makes it harder to read or write.”

The Florida native wasn’t afraid to get real and candid in her new book — which comes out July 23. “Some really deep, dark thoughts about #thelifeofwannabemogul. I talk about abuse, molestation and self-hatred,” she wrote on Instagram. “If you haven’t gotten the book yet, you are seriously missing out on some new views and thoughts. Link in my bio.”
