Is this feud still going strong? Selena Gomez took to Instagram on Friday, November 15, to seemingly extend a digital olive branch to model Bella Hadid, after Selena briefly dated Bella’s ex-boyfriend, The Weeknd. But it looks like Bella, 23, was not ready to accept the 27-year-old pop star’s public gesture.

It all started when Bella shared a photo of herself looking in a mirror. “A Dior thing,” she wrote in the caption. Selena then “liked” the photo, and then she posted a comment underneath. “Stunning,” she wrote, adding a heart-eye emoji, according to Us Weekly. But for some reason, Bella decided to delete the post altogether.

Fans immediately took to social media to share their thoughts on the seemingly shady move on Bella’s part. “Bella really deleted her post after Selena commented … she doesn’t want her fake ass and she couldn’t make it more obvious LMAO,” one fan wrote, adding a clown emoji. “So Selena left a cute comment on Bella’s post and she had the audacity to delete the pic … no words,” another fan wrote.

The “Lose You to Love Me” singer and Bella unfollowed each other in 2017 after Selena started dating The Weeknd in January of that year. At the time, Bella and the “Starboy” crooner (real name: Abel Tesfaye) had broken up just two months prior in November 2016 after nearly two years together.

Selena and The Weeknd went on to date for about 10 months before they called it quits in October 2017. Then, five months after his split from Selena, The Weeknd rekindled his relationship with Bella in April 2018. The on-again, off-again couple called it quits again in August 2019 after almost a year and a half of dating.

News of The Weeknd’s relationship with the Disney Channel alum caused a bit of a stir because both ladies were close friends with Taylor Swift. But Selena and Bella were not as close as it would seem. “Selena is not good friends with either Gigi [Hadid] or Bella,” a source told Us Weekly in January 2017. “She knows them through other people, but they are just acquaintances. She is friendly with them, but not friends with them.”

It seemed like Selena was ready to move on from the drama after she followed Bella on Instagram earlier this month, but Bella might still need some time.
