She may be new to living her life in the public eye, but it seems like Alaskan Bush People star Bear Brown‘s new girlfriend, Raiven Adams, already has the tricks of the trade down pat. When she stepped out on Saturday, August 10 wearing a ring on *that* finger, she knew there might be rumors — so she immediately shut them down. Instead of letting fans share their theories in the comments section, the model got ahead of the curve. She shut off commenting on her post and put all the potential talk to rest with one simple hashtag.

“So good to see my family. Congrats on the baby girl, 💕” Raiven, 21, captioned a picture of her and Bear, 32. The couple seemingly celebrated a baby shower with friends after heading out of state for the trip. Before she gave fans a chance to start their wild speculation in the comments, she added a quick hashtag: “#notaweddingring.” The move was a smart one considering how easily engagement rumors can pop up. In the past, even 16-year-old Rain Brown has had to address fan theories after she was spotted with a large, sparkly ring.

TBH, though, we wouldn’t be shocked if Bear did propose in the near future. The couple is obviously close enough to head out for romantic weekends away, and they’ve been dating for nearly a year. Raiven and Bear met on August 15, 2018 at the wedding for the Discovery Channel star’s younger brother Noah Brown. As the family celebrated the nuptials, the model and her mom snapped photos as the wedding photographers. It didn’t take long for the couple to hit it off.

“We just agreed we both felt a connection,” the self-proclaimed King of Extreme recently shared with People. “I would definitely say what I like most about Raiven would simply be Raiven herself. … She is truly the full package. She is like, beauty in every sense of the word, inside and out. And she is the most awesome and extreme woman I’ve ever met! I adore her, honestly.”
