There could be a new Duggar baby any day now! Well, a Forsyth baby, to be exact. Austin Forsyth and Joy-Anna Duggar have been playing it very close to the vest when it comes to their due date, but according to fan sleuthing, we might meet the little guy or girl within the next two weeks!
Our basis for the hypothesis goes back to when the duo posted a sweet photo of Joy's growing baby bump on their joint Instagram in October. The caption held the biggest due date hint we've ever gotten. "Can't wait to meet our baby!!" wrote Joy. "I got to feel it kick for the first time a few days ago!!! Soooooo amazing!!! It's already about the size of a bell pepper and weighs around half a pound!!! #childrenareagiftfromGod #westandforlife."
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to Google how far along a woman has to be for the baby to be bell-pepper-sized and kicking. Baby Center says that this would be around 18 weeks, when the baby is "7 ounces and is roughly 5 1/2 inches long," and starts "flexing his arms and legs – movements that you'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead." If Joy-Anna was 18 weeks on Oct. 1, then she will hit 36 weeks on Feb. 4... that's just days away!
Of course, there are plenty of fan theories that Joy-Anna already had the baby. The thinly-veiled hint may actually have been intentional, because many fans have speculated that Joy and Austin slept together before marriage (a HUGE no-no in their religious family). It's easy to see why fans were suspicious — the pair got married on May 26, and announced their pregnancy in August. In the first photos she posted, Joy looked pretty far along. Now, if she truly was 18 weeks in October, then they would have conceived the little one just days after getting married... not before like fans had thought. But then we need to take into account the fact that Joy-Anna's baby registry listed the due date as Feb. 22. Was this just another way to throw us off the scent? Very clever, guys. Fans definitely won't be surprised if/when they post an excited "The baby came early!" Instagram. So, like we said, any day now, folks!
