Say it ain’t so! Ariana Grande and Mikey Foster have decided to break up “about a month ago,” Us Weekly confirms. The couple split after 8 months of dating.

A source confirmed the two had been an item since June 2019, although they never addressed their relationship status. Prior to the uncoupling, Ari’s brother, Frankie Grande, raved about Mikey in September 2019. “I love Mikey. I think he’s a really sweet guy. So talented. So kind and so caring,” the 37-year-old said to Us at the time. “He’s a great guy.” Frankie went on to describe a “double date” he went on with Ari, 26, and the musician, before clarifying his words the next day.

“Ariana and Mikey Foster are not in a relationship,” he told the outlet. “She is single. And my comments about our recent hang as friends were not meant to be taken literally. Hale and I were on a date, which is why I referred to it as a double date when we had plans with them, without realizing what the term insinuated about their relationship outside of my own. It was literally four people meeting up as friends, and I would never comment on something so personal about her life anyway.”

The two sparked dating rumors after showing some PDA during an outing in Chicago in August 2019. “Ariana and Mikey were holding hands at one point while they were there,” a source told Us Weekly of their night out, adding they “arrived separately.”

Ari and Mikey also appeared to be cozy in their music video for “Boyfriend,” where they enjoyed a sultry makeout session. Mikey’s music duo, Social House, opened for Ari during her Sweetener world tour, proving they’ve been in each other’s orbit for a while.

Ariana has experienced her fair share of relationship troubles, to say the least. Prior to her relationship with Mikey, she called off her engagement to comedian Pete Davidson in October 2018, just four months after Pete, 26, popped the question. One month prior to their split, her ex Mac Miller tragically died of an overdose. Needless to say, Ari has been through some tough times.
