They’re making it work! Anna Faris and Chris Pratt are apparently hoping they’ll eventually be able to spend holidays together, according to Us Weekly. They finalized their divorce in October 2018, but remember: they have their 6-year-old son, Jack, to think about in all of this.

Anna, 42, talked about her coparenting relationship with Chris, 39, on the “Divorce Sucks” podcast, telling host Laura Wasser what their relationship is like since the Parks and Recreation actor’s engagement to Katherine Schwarzenegger. “Well, Chris and I had a long conversation earlier on about … our goal was to have group Thanksgiving dinners together and to be at that place,” the Mom star said. “Do we do that sooner or later? Grudge-holding is not something that Chris and I do.”

Anna continued, “So, we wanted to make sure, of course, that Jack was happy, but that we were happy and supportive of each other and that we could have this fantasy idea of, do we all spend Christmas together? Do we all vacation together? How do we make sure that everybody that we love feels safe, and that we also respect the love we have for each other?” Those are all fair things to think about when you’re navigating divorce and coparenting.

The House Bunny actress added, “He really is such an amazing person … I’m really grateful that we are so close, and I know that we both want the best, just happiness.” That’s such a lovely sentiment and certainly not the sort of thing every divorced person would say about their ex-partner.

In fact, that comment is also quite the turnaround from what Anna said about Chris not long after they announced their split. On her Unqualified podcast in August 2017, she said, “Life is too short for you to be in relationships where you’re not feeling like this isn’t fully right or somebody doesn’t have your back or somebody doesn’t value you in every way.” Yikes.

It definitely seems like Anna and Chris are doing a lot better these days when it comes to their relationship. Maybe time heals all wounds after all.
