Moving on. Amanda Knox’s ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito has found love with someone new — 12 years after Amanda and Raffaele were wrongfully convicted in Italy for the murder of Amanda’s late roommate, Meredith Kercher.

“Yes, we have been in a relationship for a short time,” the 35-year-old handsome hunk told Radar Online about his new lady. “It’s been two months, but we have known each other for two years. She is wonderful.” Raffaele met the brunette beauty on the internet, and he shared some sweet photos of them together in Venice, Italy, on Instagram on Sunday, September 8.

Even though Raffaele is excited about this next chapter of his life, it wasn’t always easy for him to date after his name made headlines. “Society still has a negative impression of me,” he admitted to in an interview with the Daily Mirror in 2018. “I’m imprisoned by a society that will not let me lead a normal life. At times, I met girls who were charmed by my ‘black halo.’ But good girls are appalled and scared of me. When I dated girls, and they had to tell their families about me, there was always some family member that would get worried because they did not trust me.”

Amanda, 32, has moved on as well since The Scarlet Letter Reports host got engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Christopher Robinson, in November 2018. One month later, Amanda secretly married the 37-year-old. “We filed paperwork to be legally married in December of last year to simplify our taxes and insurance,” a statement from the newlyweds read on August 1. “But we have not yet celebrated our wedding with our loved ones. This is, frankly, no one’s business but our own, and should be no more shocking than the fact we’ve been living together for years.” The Washington native revealed that her upcoming nuptials will take place on February 29, 2020.

Amanda was an American exchange student studying abroad in Italy in 2007 where she shared an apartment in Perugia with Meredith before her untimely death. On November 1, 2007, Meredith was found half-naked with her throat cut in their bedroom, and immediately, Amanda and Raffaele became suspects. Amanda and Raffaele were found guilty and sentenced to 26 years in prison in 2007. However, after spending four years of their lives in jail, the former flames were eventually acquitted in 2015. Rudy Guede was found responsible for committing the crime and is currently serving a 16-year prison sentence.

Luckily, it seems like everything worked out for Amanda and Raffaele in the end.
