She’s happy for him! Fellow Saturday Night Live star Aidy Bryant has nothing but positive vibes for Pete Davidson when it comes to his relationship with Kate Beckinsale. Aidy, 31, told Entertainment Tonight at the Shrill premiere on Wednesday, March 13, “I only wish Pete the best, of course.” We are very much here for comedy coworkers supporting coworkers!

Aidy’s show of support came not long after Pete, 25, addressed peoples’ opinions on the age difference between himself and Kate, 45, on the March 9 episode of Saturday Night Live. “Apparently people have a crazy fascination with our age difference, but it doesn’t really bother us,” Pete said. He then added that if people have questions about a “relationship with a big age difference,” they should talk to any number of men who dated or married younger women, including Leonardo DiCaprio and Scott Disick among many, many others.

Speculation about whether Pete and Kate are dating began after the couple left a Golden Globes afterparty together on January 6. They were then spotted holding hands as they left his comedy show on February 2. Plus, Us Weekly also reported that when a fan yelled, “Kate Beckinsale” at his Pete Davidson & Friends show at Tarrytown Music Hall on January 12, Pete “smiled sheepishly and said, ‘yes.'” Too cute!

Frankly, if Kate and Pete have made things official, it’s really no one else’s business what their age difference is. They’re both consenting adults, and seem very happy together! And if Pete’s SNL coworkers are happy for them too, that’s a really good sign. It would certainly be super weird if Aidy was asked about them and declined to answer or had less than lovely things to say about them, but that’s clearly not the case. Kate has already proven via a clap back to a troll on her Instagram who was “disappointed” in her dating choices that she personally could not care less. Don’t listen to the haters, you two!
