Is he still in love with his ex? 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days stars Jon Walters and Rachel Bear were forced to rush their wedding because Jon’s criminal background would make it nearly impossible for him to get a K-1 visa and he had a better chance of being approved for a spousal visa. In a sneak peek from this week’s upcoming episode obtained by Us Weekly, Rachel returned to England from Albuquerque for the wedding — but she found some messages Jon sent to an ex-girlfriend proclaiming his love for her, and that really upset his bride-to-be.

“I saw how you told her that you really did love her, about how bad you felt [about] the way you treated her back then, as if there was some lingering closure on your end you never told me about,” Rachel, 33, told Jon.

Jon, 34, explained that Rachel only caught that part of the conversation and the rest of his exchange with his ex involved sharing details about his upcoming wedding to Rachel, but that still didn’t make Rachel feel any better. 

“I just feel like the word ‘love’ should never be thrown to an ex-girlfriend,” she told Jon. “I just feel like there’s a line, there’s a boundary there. There are some things that shouldn’t be said. I don’t understand why you feel now, to go back in time, and say, ‘I really did love you,’ just before we get married.”

During her previous trip to England, Rachel learned that Jon had a wild relationship past that included multiple girlfriends and open relationships. She expressed concern that she wasn’t sure that he would be faithful to her while they were apart, and she made it clear that she would not entertain the idea of an open relationship or marriage. But Jon insisted that the comments he made to his ex were harmless.

“She’s been a friend for 18 years. We were talking about the wedding and I guess, thinking about the future made me think about the past,” he said in his confessional. “While this conversation was happening, you know, I did say I loved her, that I was sorry, because I’m not that person anymore and now I know how a man should love a woman. I’m ashamed of the person I was.”
